Annie’s Cabin is a cozy, handbuilt self-catering log cabin in the heart of the wonderful Shropshire Hills in England, United Kingdom. Set amid a pristine meadow, the cabin is ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable and independent holiday in the English countryside.
The cabin was designed to be as comfortable as possible any time of the year and in all weather conditions. In summer, guests can explore the meadows and spent the evening around the outside fire pit. In winter, the nearby town of Ludlow makes for an excellent destination while the wood pellet stove in the cabin will provide a cozy atmosphere. The design of Annie’s Cabin has minimal environmental impact, both during the construction process and, now, during its lifetime. The cabin was built with Douglas fir logs from Wales. The wood pellet stove, LED lighting, sheep wool insulation, recycling of waste, and water heated with solar power all contribute to keeping the cabin’s ecological footprint as low as possible.
Additionally, Annie’s Cabin gives guests the opportunity to visit Ludlow, which is considered to be England’s slow-food capital and lies only two miles away. This charming town is home to wonderful organic food markets and dotted with renowned restaurants—a great destination to enjoy healthy local specialties or pick up locally grown ingredients to prepare a meal back at the cabin.
The cabin itself is as charming as it gets, made entirely of wood, and can sleep up to six guests. There are a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a double sofabed in the living area. The living area is a space that comprises the living room with sofa and seats, and the spacious kitchen with dining table and chairs, microwave, dishwasher, oven and stovetops. The cabin is set in a meadow and is flanked by a river on two sides. A folding door gives access to the outdoors, where a spacious covered terrace is a wonderful place to spend some time relaxing and enjoying the natural scenery.
